Preparing for your Laser Hair Removal Treatment :

Laser Hair Removal with Soprano XL is virtually pain-free but there are general rules that you must follow in the time leading up to your appointment. Clients that follow our professional advice generally have better treatment results and minimize the risk of any side effects.
The treatment area must be clean. This means no makeups, lotions, oils, deodorants etc.
Treatment area must be shaved 24 hours prior to your treatment.
Always make sure to follow the specific guidelines laid out by your laser technician.
DO NOT pluck or wax in-between treatments

The procedure :

When you arrive at Yanox, you will be greeted by our friendly receptionist, a staff member will guide you to your treatment room where your treatment will begin shortly
You will be provided with protective eyewear. We suggest to wear loose fitting or easy-to-remove clothing to your appointment as you will have to bare the treatment area.
Ultrasound Gel is applied to the treatment area to help to protect the skin while helping the laser to penetrate the skin.
Laser technician will set the machine according to your skin tone and hair colour
The treatment is relatively quick and pain-free. Our modern laser technology system incorporates a sapphire tip on the handpiece providing contact cooling to the epidermis while leaving the surrounding skin tissue to be unharmed.

Following the treatment :

Your hair will be thinner and sparse and shaving will become much easier
It is VERY important to upkeep with your treatment plan suggested by your laser technician. Skipping your sessions will have a negative effect on your results.
Some clients may experience redness after the treatment, this is normal and will begin to subside almost immediately. If at any time after the procedure you require additional medical attention or you have any questions about your session, you must contact the clinic within 24 hours of the treatment. We are here to help but we can only help if are aware of the issue.
Remember to apply SPF to any treatment area that is exposed to the sun.

How long is my treatment?

Duration of the treatment will vary depending on the area being treated. An appointment can last anywhere between 5 minutes and a few hours.

How many sessions do I need?

There are a number of variables that can affect your results. Generally, after each treatment you will see a gradual reduction in hair growth on the treated area.

We recommend 12 sessions for each treatment area to achieve the most desired results. Multiple treatment sessions are necessary because hair on the body grows in cycles, while some follicles may be growing hair, others may be in a resting stage. The follicle must be in growing phase in order to be targeted effectively. Number of sessions will vary from client-to-client.

Will my hair grow back?

Once a hair follicle is permanently damaged, new hair cannot grow. During your treatments some of the follicles may only be partially damaged and will need to be retreated.
